CMR is an artist-led residency, exhibition and project space for established and emerging artists from within Cornwall as well as nationally and internationally and aims to provide resources and space for experimentation, learning and development through residencies, screenings, workshops, talks, exhibitions and social and skill-sharing events. This aims to offer affordable space to test out ideas, network and collaborate with other artists.

CMR offers accommodation and studio space in a spacious three-storey building in Redruth, Cornwall.

Please go to our contact section to apply for residencies.

CMR works side by side with Cling Clack studios, a new music and media production studio, sharing our resources and making sound and video recording and editing equipment accessible to both artists and musicians and offering support for specific projects. Due to CMR's history as a media resource for filmmakers, we have inherited analogue sound and filmmaking equipment and exhibition monitors.

Please contact Cling Clack if you would like to access these facilities.
We also have an archive of films from Cornwall Media Resource, accessible and kept at Kresen Kernow.
Please go to our contact section to join our mailing list if you would like to be informed about any future events.

CMR is a charity managed by a small group of directors / trustees. It is a wholly volunteer-run organisation and project space.

The current directors / trustees are:

Alice Mahoney
